WNIT was in North Webster interviewing members of the Tippecanoe Township-North Webster Chamber of Commerce about the upcoming Heart of the Harvest Festival, to be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Lions Club Mermaid Festival Grounds.
Gordy Young interviewed Sue Ward, chamber president, about the festival and also interviewed Jon Sroufe, secretary of the North Webster Community Center board. Sroufe talked about the North Webster Community Center Heart of the Community Charity Auction and Raffle which will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4.
The festival will be an old-fashioned, family-friendly event featuring pig races, a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, balloon artists, cake walk, a pumpkin decorating contest as well as craft and food vendors.
WNIT will be airing the interview with Ward at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, and the interview with Sroufe at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29.
