Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Tuesday, Sept. 9, 11:54 a.m. US 30 near S. 900 East, Pierceton. Driver: Gregory N. Little, 54, Harding Ave., Flossmoor, Ill. Driver struck deer. Damages: $10,000
Tuesday, Sept. 9, 10:40 a.m. E. 200 North near Boeing Road, Warsaw. Driver: Marc W. Redding, 41, Pink Magnolia Drive, Winona Lake. Redding swerved to avoid hitting a dog in the roadway, ran off the road and struck a NIPSCO utility pole. Damages: up to $2,500
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Tuesday, Sept. 9, 4:23 p.m. Center Street near Cleveland Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Sylvia M. Aguirre, 56, Center Street, Warsaw; Diana S. Bagley, 71, Old Road 30, Warsaw. Aguirre rear-ended Bagley. Aguirre complained of pain in her shoulder from the seatbelt. EMS was dispatched, and informed officers that Aguirre had recently undergone brain surgery. She was transported to KCH for closer inspection. A follow-up found Aguirre to be in good condition. Damages: up to $5,000
Tuesday, Sept. 9, 12:39 p.m. Detroit Street and Jalynn Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Clark D. Shepherd, 44, Rivercrest Drive, Warsaw; Nancy J. Strong, 72, Lake Street, Syracuse. Shepherd rear-ended Strong at a traffic light. Damages: up to $5,000
Tuesday, Sept. 9, 11:14 a.m. Lake Street near Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Beverly E. Long, 78, W. 300 North, Warsaw; Tracy A. Furnivall, 47, Lighthouse Drive, Warsaw. Long struck Furnivall at the intersection. Damages: up to $10,000
