Raiders Continue Dominance
MIDDLEBURY – After the thrashing the varsity Raiders gave the Warriors Saturday afternoon, the Northridge side continued its football stronghold on Wawasee by posting a 17-0 junior varsity victory Monday evening.
The JV game was moved to Monday as the varsity was shifted to last Saturday due to the storms in the area Friday night. Northridge’s varsity laid a 55-0 score on Wawasee in Syracuse Saturday afternoon.
Wawasee’s defense did what it could to help the cause, aided by a fumble recovery by Jeremiah Dilley and forced fumble by Nick LeCount. Northridge did not immediately report its statistics.
“Offense and special teams have to play better if we want to win games in the Northern Lakes Conference,” said Wawasee coach Brent Berkeypile, whose team falls to 2-1. “We will work hard this week and we will be prepared for Concord.”
Wawasee and Concord are scheduled to meet on the JV gridiron Saturday morning in Syracuse.
