At approximately 12:05 a.m. emergency personnel were called to respond to a fire located at 1058 Chapman Lake Drive in Leesburg.
According to firefighters on scene, upon arrival the home was found to be fully engulfed in flames. The residence, which had been for sale by owner Chester Clark, was unoccupied and an official cause for the blaze is currently under investigation by Squad 70, the county’s fire investigation team.
Though the fire was contained by firefighters at the scene within 30 minutes, running utilities caused some continued flames. A total estimate for damages is also unknown at this time.
