Tigers Go 2-2 in VB Invite
MISHAWAKA – The Warsaw volleyball team posted a 2-2 mark on Saturday in the loaded Mishawaka Invitational field.
The Tigers defeated Lafayette Harrison 29-27, 25-22 and Mishawaka 25-12, 25-19. Warsaw lost to Class 4-A No. 4 Indianapolis Cathedral 14-25, 25-18, 8-15 and to Class 3-A No. 4 Mishawaka Marian 25-19, 21-25, 13-15.
Senior standout Katie Voelz led the way for Warsaw on the day by finishing with a total of 34 kills to go with 41 digs.
Haley Peterson had 19 kills and Caroline Mayer 16 for the Tigers. Jordyn Lindeman had seven blocks and six aces.
Peyton Adamiec led the defense with 54 digs and also had nine aces. Mayer had 9 digs.
Setter Cassie Hoag racked up 84 assists and also led her team with 10 aces.
Warsaw is now 8-3 overall. The Tigers, who are 1-0 in Northern Lakes Conference action, play at league foe Goshen Thursday night.
