Once Upon A Time, First Friday
August is nearing its end, and that means another First Friday celebration is imminent in downtown Warsaw. For the September event, organizers partnered with local authors to celebrate National Literacy Month.
On Sept. 5, more than 20 local authors will be signing books. Fairy tale characters will be wandering around downtown. The “Walk-N-Wander” essay and photo contest winners will be announced.
For the kiddos, crafts, face painting, a bounce house and a magician will also be downtown.
There will also be live music at Center Stage throughout First Friday. The String Things will perform at 5 p.m. Michael Jacobs, a Cherokee contemporary musician, will go on from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. After the concerts, there will be a 9/11 Rememberance ceremony. Festivities will be from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5.
