UPDATE: RR Postpones Nappanee SR 19 Project
UPDATE: The Indiana Department of Transportation announced today (Tuesday, Aug. 26) that SR 19 between Lincoln Street and Randolph Street which was scheduled to close Aug. 25, has been postponed by the railroad. The closure is anticipated to occur during the month of September, but at this time no date has been set.
ORIGINAL: The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that SR 19 between Lincoln Street and Randolph Street in Nappanee is scheduled to close on Monday morning, Aug. 25, as CXS rebuilds their railroad crossing.
The work, which will improve the driving surface for motorists, is expected to be complete by the evening of Friday, Aug. 29, weather permitting.
The official detour is SR 19 to Indiana Avenue to Jackson Street and U.S. 6.
