WCPL Notes September Programs

Looking for something to do in September? Well, look no further. The library has a variety of programs for adults to attend during the month.
- Chess Club will meet every Saturday in September. For the beginner or expert. Classes 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Computer Clinic. 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3. Bring your computer questions and problems. One-on-one assistance will be offered.
- Off the Shelf Reading Club. The club will meet from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4. This month’s selection is The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh.
- Cookbook Club. The club will meet from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8. This month’s topic will be chinese food.
- The Knit & PURL Club will meet from 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8. A group for knitting enthusiasts of all experience levels. Bring a project with you, help is available.
- Writers’ Club. The club will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8. For teens and adults who love to write. All experience levels are welcome. This month’s topics to write about are: “The cheerleader from the Black Lagoon” – “Your most sentimental possession” and “24 things in 24 hrs.”
- Genealogy Club will meet from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9. Round table discussions about tracing your family history will be held.
- New Release Tuesday Movie. 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9. Call to find which movie we are showing this week.
- Charm and Daring of Dillinger. The event will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9. Follow the man who outwitted law enforcement during a 14-month long, wild chase in around the state of Indiana. Registration required.
- Quilt Club will meet Friday, Sept. 12. This is a new club for quilting enthusiasts. Bring a project to work on.
- Thyroid Workshop will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16. The importance of and function of the thyroid gland.
- Make It Take It Crafts: Net Scrubbie. 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17. Make your own kitchen scrubbie with netting. No crocheting involved and the course is free. Registration is required.
- Introduction to Quilting, Part one and two will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 18 and 25. Learn the basics of quilting. Bring your sewing basket. Only beginners need to register.
- Travel to Israel. From 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22. Learn about the city of Jerusalem and sites of Israel, The dome of the Rock, the Sea of Galilee and more. Registration required.
