Noble County Relay For Life Is 2014 Pacesetter Event
The Noble County Relay For Life surpassed its goal for 2014, netting $37,000 for the year. That again earned the event the title of “2014 Pacesetter Event” … and got one of the co-chairs a free, and very close, haircut.
Relay co-chair Michael White had promised to shave his head if this year’s teams raised more than the $40,000 goal, and the gross amount raised came to $41,300. His son Conner was one of those who got the chance to shave his dad’s hair at the Relay wrap-up party, on July 31 at the Albion branch of the Noble County Public Library.
The top three fundraising teams for 2014 were the Community State Bank, Butterflies From Heaven and Friends of Faith 2014.
The top three individual fundraisers were Barb Yates, Carla Fiandt and Julie Buttgen.
The 2014 Noble County Relay For Life was held May 17–18 at the West Noble High School track and football field, and had a theme of “Racing For a Cure.”
