Save Jerry On Miracle Treat Day
Warsaw – Indulge with a Blizzard Treat tomorrow, Thursday, August 14, and Dairy Queen will donate $1 or more to Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health. Approximately 150 Indiana Dairy Queen locations will participate in the ninth annual Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day.
Proceeds throughout the United States and Canada will support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a charity that raises funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada. Riley Hospital for Children is Indiana’s only affiliated Children’s Miracle Network hospital. Support of Miracle Treat Day throughout Indiana offers hope to families seeking help for seriously ill and injured children; help that only Riley Hospital for Children can provide.
The Dairy Queen brand has partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for 30 years. To date, $100 million has been raised in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across North America.
At the Dairy Queen on Winona Ave. in Winona Lake, owner Jerry Nolin will take to the roof for the good cause. In 2012 he stayed on the roof until $5,000 was raised. This year, he’s staying up there until he gets $10,000.
