Syracuse Police Department
Officers of the Syracuse Police Department recently investigated the following accident:
Monday, Aug. 11, 5:35 p.m. East Palm Drive and South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Judith A. Kline, 71, East Dove Lane, Milford; and Travis R. Manns, Sir Gallahad Place, Cromwell. Kline said a vehicle was in front of her obstructing her view at a stop sign. Kline proceeded to drive around the vehicle and and was struck by Manns as he was turning onto Palm Drive. Damages: up to $5,000
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Monday, Aug. 11, 6:04 p.m. North Detroit and East Fort Wayne streets. Drivers: Brian E. Bontrager, 51, Dogwood Road, Bremen; and Troy A. Johnson, 45, North Old Farm Road East, Warsaw. Johnson stopped in northbound traffic and Bontrager was unable to stop in time, causing his vehicle to collide into the back of Johnson. Damages: under $750
Monday, Aug. 11, 4:51 p.m. North Detroit and Lake City Highway. Drivers: Donald K. Reinholt, 77, Gillliam Drive, Warsaw; and Shawn C. Simeri, 45, Hedge Court, Granger. Reinholt was following a semi and attempted to merge into the right lane while northbound on North Detroit Street, but Simeri’s vehicle was in his blind spot, causing the vehicles to collide. Damages: up to $5,000
Monday, Aug. 11, 2 p.m. West 300 North and North Detroit Street. Drivers: Jessica M. Popenfoose, 30, East Clark Street, Warsaw; and Jill M. Pequignot, 41, Ivywood Drive, Warsaw. Both vehicles were eastbound on West 300 North and stopped at the stop light. Pequinot began to pull forward, but then stopped, causing Popenfoose to collide into the back of the vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
