Postponed to help fellow firefighters in their time of need, the Winona Lake Fire Department’s 100th anniversary celebration originally set for last weekend will resume this Saturday with plenty of activities for the entire family.

From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 2, kids activities and about $500 in door prizes from Winona Lake and Village businesses will be part of the fun during the centennial celebration.

History buffs can explore historical information on why and when the department was organized and see lots of photos from the last 100 years.

All current and any former Winona Lake firemen and other area firemen are encouraged to come help celebrate WLFD’s 100th year.
