KREMC Receives ‘No Lost Time’ Award
Warsaw – Kosciusko REMC was recently presented with their second consecutive “No Lost Time” safety award from Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange, the cooperative’s insurance provider.
The annual award recognizes companies that have exceeded industry safety standards and achieved 5,000 working hours per employee with no lost time accidents. Since February 23, 2010, KREMC employees have totaled 335,821 working hours with no work related injuries hindering employees from carrying out normal work duties.
Kosciusko REMC also received a National Safety Accreditation Award in 2012, which requires all safety materials to be properly filed and documented, all appropriate employees to receive training needed to meet accreditation standards, and that all vehicles and property are properly inspected.
“I would like to commend the employees for earning this award for the second year in a row,” said Bruce Goslee, KREMC President and CEO. “It truly shows their dedication to working safely and keeping procedures and training at the forefront of their minds.”
KREMC is a member-owned Touchstone Energy® electric cooperative serving over 17,000 customers throughout Kosciusko County and into surrounding counties.
