Scene From 1920s County Fair
Summer means outdoor activities and one of the most popular locally is the county fair. Kosciusko County has already had its fair and Elkhart County’s is being held this week.
This old photo provided by the Kosciusko County Historical Society shows a barbecue tent at the intersection of Center and Lake streets in downtown Warsaw. The photo was taken from the 1929 Warsaw High School yearbook. From about 1915 until the end of World War II, the county fair was held on the streets of downtown Warsaw.
