Eastlake Skate Center Announces Scholarship Recipients
Eastlake Skate Center would like to announce the recipients of the Hansen Skating centers Octagon Club Scholarship. This years recipients, each receiving a $1,000 scholarship, are Ramie Perry and Ryan Goon.
Ramie is the daughter of Mark and Rachelle Perry and will be attending Grace College in the fall, studying elementary education. The WCHS graduate was an active member of the Octagon Club, National Honor Society, God in Schools today and a four year Student Council representative.
Ryan Goon is the son of Kay Ruggier and Mitch Goon and will be attending the University of Indianapolis, studying human biology. The WCHS graduate was the Octagon Club president, a member of SADD, Latin Club, the Tiger Student Athlete Board, Science Academic Super Bowl Team, and a member of cross country and track.
The Hansen Skating Centers Octagon Scholarship was established by Trace Hansen, owner of local skating rinks, as a way to give back to those students who have shown a history of doing the same through their involvement with the Octagon Club at WCHS. Hansen Skating Centers is committed to a minimum of two $1,000 annual scholarships.
