Kosciusko County Fair Comes to Close
The Kosciusko County Community Fair was going full throttle last week, but yesterday fair week came to a close. Despite a rainy morning, the fair went out with the roaring engines of the truck and tractor pulls and the spark show at the grandstand.
All sorts of festivities have been going on this week. Rodeos, wrestling, country musician Levi Riggs, drag racing and a demolition derby have all wowed audiences at the grandstand.
Elsewhere in the fairgrounds, 4-Hers showed their projects. There was food of all kind, both for casual enjoyment or for competition, games, raffles, the 4-H Sale of Champions, exhibits, and the Big Cat Encounter. All kinds of fun for all ages.
Now the rides on the midway have closed up. The grandstands are empty. No more deep-fried Twinkies or antique tractor displays. At least for 2014, but all the fun an excitement is sure to be back in 2015.
For those who didn’t get enough fair last week, check out the video from the last day of fair and get a little nostalgic.
