Tools For School Seeking Donations
Tools For School, a program through Combined Community Services that provides 1,500 students in Kosciusko County with the tools they need to get a quality education, is seeking support for its annual giveaway.
Items needed are: two-pocket folders, Fiskar scissors, colored pencils, blue or black pens, rulers, spiral notebooks, liquid glue, three-ring binders, crayons, erasers, markers, compasses, protractors, glue sticks, filler paper and backpacks. Of course, Tools For School also accepts monetary donations.
The giveaway is set for Wednesday, Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds. Donations can be mailed or dropped off at CCS’s office at 1195 Mariners Drive, Warsaw.
Warsaw Community School Corporation will be providing breakfast again this year, and churches and help agencies will have representative there to share information on services from Awanas club to health insurance.
For additional information call Peggi, 574-269-6019 ex. 222, or Carrie, 574-269-6019 ex. 230. Also check out the CCS facebook and twitter pages for news and updates.
The American Red Cross of Kosciusko County is also pleased to partner again with Combined Community Services for the Tools 4 School program. The American Red Cross receives school supplies from Warsaw Dollar Tree’s Operation Home Front, which allows local shoppers to purchase and donate school supplies in-store.
All Dollar Tree donations are presented to the Red Cross and given to Combined Community Services for their back to school program and are distributed to local families. This is the third year of this partnership. Last year, the Kosciusko Red Cross and Warsaw Dollar Tree donated over 10,400 items to Combined Community Services Tools 4 School program.
