Milford Public Library is serving up a few fun and educational programs for the week of July 21.
Food and Fun Day
Join us for the last food and fun day of the summer! On July 23, come and do science experiments with candy! Everything you make, you can eat! You do not want to miss this! There are four sessions to choose from, 10:30am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm, and 4:30pm. Sessions fill up fast, so stop in and get signed up for Edible science fun! All ages are welcome, so bring the whole family.
Teen: Static Electricity with Jim Myers
Teens are invited to join us for our last teen program with Jim Myers on July 24. He will be presenting a program on Static Electricity. Come on down to the meeting room at 4pm and observe the principles of high voltage static electricity and electro magnetism through experiments in attraction, repulsion, and levitation. Teens entering 6th grade through graduating seniors are invited to join. A delicious snack will be provided as well as drawings for several door prizes. We hope to see you at 4pm on July 24 for some Static Electricity fun!
Family Storytime
Join us again this week for story time on Friday, July 25 at 11am. Guest storyteller, Melinda Roose will have wonderful stories about Water and Hydrology. Listen to Water by Frank Asch and other stories about water. After Melinda reads, join her in a making a craft and enjoy a snack. Come listen to books about water, make a craft, and share a delicious snack. Don’t forget that each family gets to take home a book! See you on Friday, July 25, for stories, snack, and a craft!
Finale Picnic
Next week is our Summer Reading Program Finale Picnic! Don’t forget to read 5 hours to come and get a free hot dog lunch and treat! On July 30 at 12pm, grab your ticket, a beach towel, sunscreen, and a chair to sit on the beach. We will serve food under the pavilion and draw for prizes as well. Ronald McDonald will be making an appearance at 12:30pm. Come join us next week as we celebrate another successful summer. The last day to turn in hours is Friday, August 1st. Teens who have read 50 or more hours are invited to attend the Make Your Own Sundae Party on Monday, August 4th at noon. Prize winners will be announced at the party.
