Mobile Food Pantry Coming To Kosciusko County
The Food Bank of Northern Indiana will bring the Mobile Food Pantry to Kosciusko County for three giveaways this month.
At the Mobile Food Pantry events, fresh perishable items (dairy, grains, produce and protein) and dry goods are offered free of charge to northern Indiana residents. The Food Bank sets up tables at pre-scheduled locations where people can select items that best meet their needs. Mobile food pantries are first come, first served for those in need of food assistance, based upon available product, while supplies last.
Patrons must provide a valid photo ID (Indiana driver’s license or Indiana ID) and are asked to provide their own bags/boxes to transport their items home. If weather conditions are adverse, there is a possibility of cancellation.
The following Mobile Food Pantries are scheduled:
- Burket United Methodist Church, 102 Market St., Burket, from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, July 8
- Enchanted Hills Community Center, 9799 E. Excalibur Pl., Cromwell, from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, July 18
- Combined Community Services, 1195 Mariners Dr., Warsaw, from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, July 25
The Food Bank of Northern Indiana works in partnership with the community to feed the hungry, increase awareness of the effects of hunger and lead programs designed to alleviate hunger. The Food Bank of Northern Indiana serves Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall, Starke and St. Joseph counties and is a member of Feeding America, Feeding Indiana’s Hungry (FIsH) and United Way.
