Syracuse Man Crashes Into Fallen Tree
At 1:45 a.m. this morning, a Syracuse man was injured in accident involving a fallen tree on South County Line Road West of CR 43, 3 miles north of the Syracuse city limits.
According to a news release provided by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, the driver, who was identified as a 61-year-old male, was traveling westbound on the road when a tree fell into his path. Unable to avoid the fallen tree, a crash ensued causing the vehicle to leave the roadway to the north and strike a ditch and more small trees.
The driver sustained a complaint of pain of injury to his arm and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for further medical treatment.
