Georgia Helen Prater
Georgia Helen Prater, 72, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 6:50 a.m. Friday, June 27, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 21, 1942, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to David K. Harris and Anna Mae (Hackworth) Harris. She was married to Ted Prater on May 2, 1959, in West Prestonsburg.
She lived most of her life in Kosciusko County, Ind., and worked at Penguin Point Catering for 5 years retiring in 2006. She attended God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters: Lana (Roger) Sloan, Warsaw; Ruth Harris, Warsaw; Misty Gayhart, Warsaw; three sons: Ted W. Prater, South Whitley, Ind.; Fred (Sue Heeter) Prater, Warsaw; Eddie Prater, Warsaw; five brothers: Kelse (Maze) Harris, Warsaw; Dean Harris, Warsaw; David Harris, Warsaw; Glen (Lorrata) Harris, Jackson, Ky.; Bruce Harris, Warsaw; sister: Virginia (Collin) Muldune, Tenn.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister: Wanda Irven.
Funeral services 11 a.m. Monday, June 30, Sidney Cemetery, Sidney, Ind. Clergy Reverend Bob Brown, God’s Highway to Heaven, Warsaw, Ind., will officiate. Burial will take place Sidney Cemetery, Sidney. Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, Ind., is in charge of the arrangements.
