New WCPL Teen and Adult July Programs

Don’t forget the Adult and Teen Summer Reading Programs end on Friday, July 18. Pick up all prizes and tickets by 6 p.m. In the meantime, earn drawing tickets by attending the following events.
“Drop In Zone” Wednesday, July 18. 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Ages 13-18 only.
“Science-Gone-Wrong Movie” Tuesday, July 1, 2 to 4 PM. Rated PG-13. Join us for a blockbuster from 1993, a science-gone-wrong movie in honor of this year’s science themed Summer Reading Program.
“Exotic Animals” Tuesday, July 1. 6 to 7:30 p.m. What’s it like to raise and live with a monkey. Meet Faith, a Java Macaque monkey. Register
“Computer Clinic” Wednesday, July 2, 10 to 11 a.m. and 3 to 4 p.m. Bring your computer questions and problems. This is a one-on-one program.
“Off The Shelf Reading Group” Thursday, July 3, 2 to 3 p.m. “The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry” by Rachel Joyce
“Chess Club” Every Saturday in July for the beginner or expert. Bring your chess game if you have one. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“Cookbook Club” Monday, July 7, 10 to 11 a.m. Discussing your experience cooking Italian. Bring some recipes. Taste an Italian dish.
“Genealogy Club” Tuesday, July 8, 1 to 2 p.m. Round Table Discussion
“The Knit & PURL Club” Monday, July 14, 6 to 7:45 p.m. For the beginner & the expert. Bring your projects. Help is available.
“Writers Club” Monday, July 14, 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. For Adults & Teens that like to write. Topics: “Patriotism” – “Emerging from a tunnel” and “A taste for adventure.”

“Classical Guitar Music” Tuesday, July 29. 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Listen to Michael Wadkins & Kurt Roembke play a selection of classical pieces on their guitars.
