Elkhart Biotech Company Hosting Ribbon Cutting
Agdia Incorporated, a local biotechnology company specializing in detection of plant pathogens, has moved a majority of its operations into its new 50,000 sq/ft world headquarters. Construction of the facility began in September of 2012 and was completed in May of 2014.
The company will host a ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony June 13th for employees, invited officials, and other businesses that were involved with construction of the facility.
“This is an exhilarating time for Agdia. Our business has grown and continues to grow. We have worked very hard over the years to provide a safe and rewarding work environment for our employees and to provide industry leading products. This new facility will give us the opportunity to expand our research efforts, improve our operational efficiency, and grow our markets. That ultimately translates into bringing more jobs into Elkhart County. We are looking forward to a bright future,” says Agdia’s President, Baziel Vrient.
The company plans to add around 25 new jobs within the next 5 years.
