Several Camps Offered For Tumblers
SYRACUSE – There will be a few opportunities for the little ones to hit the gymnastics equipment this summer.
The Wawasee Gymnastics Club is hosting its summer gymnastics sessions. The first summer session will take place June 9-13 at Wawasee High School, with age and skill ranges from preschool to advanced levels. The second summer session will take place July 7-11 at the North Webster Community Center for the same ranges of ages and skills.
Wawasee will also host its gymnastics camps the week of June 16-20 at WHS. Preschool and kindergarten camps will run June 17-19 and school-aged camps from June 16-20.
Registration for the June camps will take place Thursday, June 5, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the main entrance of WHS. There will be a separate registration for the July sessions.
For more information, including a full list of skill levels, ages and costs on the classes and camps, contact Nika Prather at (574) 527-6774, find the WGC Web site at wawaseegymnasticsclub.com or check out the WGC Facebook page.
Prather is also organizing a Romp & Roll Camp, which will have two sessions at the North Webster Community Center. The first camp is July 14-16 designed for toddlers ages one to three years of age with a participating adult. The second is July 21-25, for preschoolers ages three to six years of age.
Romp & Roll is a program designed to introduce toddlers and preschoolers to a variety of movement concepts. The activities, which improve physical skills, also promote stimulation of the brain, enhancing the ability to learn. Special emphasis is also placed on reinforcing the knowledge of shapes, numbers, colors and letters. The program provides age-appropriate activities the children will enjoy, which benefits short-term and long-term growth.
Pre-registration is required at the NWCC, which is $25 per romp & roller for three days. For more information, visit the NWCC or contact Prather.
