Adjunct Job Fair At Ivy Tech
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Ivy Tech Community College’s North Central region will host two job fairs for those interested in working as adjunct (part-time) faculty members on the South Bend, Elkhart County (Goshen) and Warsaw campuses. The South Bend campus (220 Dean Johnson Blvd.) will host the event from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 19.
The Warsaw campus, at 2545 Silveus Crossing, will host the event from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 26.
There is currently a need for adjunct instructors for the following courses:
Accounting, Automation & Robotics, Automotive, Business Administration, CNC Machine Tool, Communication, Computer Information Systems, Computer Information Technology, Criminal Justice, Culinary-Baking and Pastry, Dental Sciences, Design, Early Childhood Education, Economics, Electrical Maintenance, Electronics, Engineering Technology, English Composition, History, Human Services, HVAC, IVYT Student Success, Mathematics, Mechanical Maintenance, Physical Science, Psychology, Quality Assurance, Robotics, Science and Welding.
Job fair attendees will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from the various disciplines, explore part-time teaching opportunities, and discuss requirements. It is recommended that attendees bring several copies of their resume and transcripts, plus any licenses or certifications relevant to the position for which they are interested.
Developmental and Student Success courses require at least a Bachelor’s degree and specific coursework and experience. College credit courses require a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline. Workforce training courses through the Corporate College require appropriate certifications and experiences.
