Warsaw Competes In NLC JV Track
ELKHART – The duo of Josh Malagon and Dylan Childers turned in championship performances Saturday for the Warsaw junior varsity boys track team.
The pair of Malagon and Childers each won individual titles in the Northern Lakes Conference JV Meet contested at Elkhart Memorial.
No team scores were kept Saturday.
Malagon won the 300 hurdles for the JV Tigers in a winning effort of 49.91.
Childers led a 1-2-3 finish for Warsaw in the shot put. He uncorked a first place throw of 41-11.
Jonathon Beres was second in the 3,200 in 10:33.48 and third in the 1,600 in 4:46.99 for Warsaw.
Hunter Van Ness was second in the shot put with an effort of 39-8 and Jaceb Burrish was third with a throw of 39-2. Burrish was also third in the discus with a throw of 111-7.
David Goon cleared 5-6 to finish in third place in the high jump. D’Andre Street placed fourth in the 400 in 57.74 and Mac Pelo was fourth in the 800 in 2:21.83 and Alex Wade fourth in the 200 in 26.09.
