Milford Fest Rides

Get ready for Milford Fest next weekend. The festival, sponsored by Milford Lions Club and local area businesses, is from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 24.

An all-day event, Milford Fest will feature free carnival rides for children, a car and motorcycle show, a cutie contest, and the king and queen coronation. There will be food and craft vendors all day.

A talent showcase will take place from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The car and motorcycle show will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free pony rides will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Milford Kiwanis Club will have pancakes and smoked sausage to start off the weekend. Bring the whole family and support the Milford Kiwanis Club in its efforts to raise money for projects that support children in the community and around the world; donations only. The breakfast will be from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Milford Community Building.

The Friends of the Library is hosting a book sale in front of Milford Public Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Milford Lions will be selling hamburger and sausage burgers from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. This year, there will be tables for people to sit and eat.

Community-wide garage sales will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Milford Police Department will have a booth set up. Officers will be finger-printing kids and passing out goodies.

The senior king and queen will also be announced. The cutie king and queen and cutie prince and princess contest will be at 10 a.m.

Live entertainment will also take place on the stage. Big Daddy Dupree and the Broke and Hungry Blues Band will play at 5 p.m. Living Word, a gospel singing group, will also perform. Captain Bob will perform oldies music after the talent show, which starts at 3 p.m. A car smash will also take place that day.

Stage Events/Entertainment:

9:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.       Sign-in for Cutie King/Queen and Prince/Princess contest at the Main Street Stage: Ages 2-5; Casual dress. Free pre-registration forms are required and are located at the Milford Public Library and town clerk’s office. The children must be in the Milford School District to win (a grandparent’s address is accepted)

10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.   Cutie King/Queen and Prince/Princess contest at the Main Street Stage
