UPDATE: Head-On Crash Near Pierceton
UPDATE: A 19-year-old North Webster man reportedly fell asleep at the wheel of his vehicle which resulted in a head-on collision near Pierceton last night.
It happened at 10:45 p.m. on SR 13 just south of CR 150 North. According to Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies who investigated the crash, Cody Stuckman, 19, was southbound, headed to work, when he reportedly fell asleep at the wheel. His vehicle, a Ford Focus, crossed the center line and collided with a northbound Toyota Prius driven by Donald Wampler, 66, of Bourbon.
Both Stuckman and Wampler were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for medical treatment. Stuckman complained of back pain and Wampler reported neck pain from the crash.
Damages were estimated at $10,000.
BREAKING: Two vehicles have reportedly collided head-on on SR 13 just south of CR 150 North, Pierceton.
Initial reports say one person is trapped inside one of the vehicles. There are reports that two people were complaining of neck and back injuries. None of the injuries are life-threatening.
Pierceton Fire Department and Multi-Township EMS are both responding to the scene.
