Robert J. Houser Jr.
Robert J. “Bobby” Houser Jr., 26, formerly of Syracuse, Ind., passed away at 3:21 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born Feb. 12, 1988, in Goshen, Ind., to Robert J. “Bob” and Margaret A. “Maggie” (Schopf) Houser. He graduated in 2007 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse and was married on July 31, 2010, in Fort Wayne to Elizabeth M. “Liz” Lechlitner, who survives.
He lived most of his life in the Syracuse area before moving to Fort Wayne in 2007. He was employed at Walmart Distribution Center in Garrett, Ind., as an order filler / fork truck driver since August 2007 and also worked part-time with Adams Landscaping in Fort Wayne.
He attended The Chapel in Fort Wayne.
He is survived by his wife: Liz Houser, Fort Wayne; a daughter: McKenna Houser; his mother and step father: Margaret and Greg Adams, Leesburg, Ind.; his father and step mother: Robert and Pam Houser, Syracuse, Ind.; two sisters: Angela (Jason) Pearson, Edgerton, Ohio; and Teresa Houser, Syracuse; two step sisters: Beth Howatt, Syracuse; and Teri Wilson-Mullinger, Holland, Ohio; and a step brother: Scott Delucenay.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, in the funeral home with Pastor Rick Hawks of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery.
