North Webster Police Department investigated the following incidents and accidents and made the following arrest:
Incidents
Monday, May 12, 12:42 p.m. East Washington Street. A juvenile was struck by a vehicle while riding a skate board. After being knocked to the ground, the victim had scrapes and scratches but no serious injuries. The vehicle left the scene.
Thursday, May 8, 8:24 p.m. South Main Street. Freedom Express reported the driver of a maroon Pontiac Montanna left the gas station without paying for $43 worth of fuel.
Friday, May 2, 10:35 a.m. South Main Street. An employee of the Housing Assistance Office reported a lost license plate from a trailer sometime during the past 2 weeks.
Accident
Saturday, May 3, 8:51 p.m SR 13. Luke M. Tuttle, Harrison Court, Syracuse, was driving a vehicle that hit a deer. No further information given.
Thursday, May 1, 10:45 p.m. East 500 North. Deanna G. Ogburn, North 900 East, North Webster, was driving a vehicle that hit a deer. No further information given.
Arrest
Saturday, May 3, 1:45 a.m. South East Street. Justin Lee Straka, 33, North 600 East, North Manchester, was observed driving a vehicle with expired plates and stopped. He was found to be intoxicated and arrested for OWI with a BAC greater or equal to .15 percent. He was incarcerated at the Kosciusko County Jail, Warsaw. Bond: $550 cash.
