TVHS Students Compete In Leadercast
Eight Tippecanoe Valley High School students, accompanied by TVHS Teacher Kris Walker and TVHS Assistant Principal Jon Hutton, participated in the fourth annual Chick-fil-A Leadercast held at the Warsaw Community Church on May 10. The Leadercast reached approximately 150,000 leaders at 800 host sites located in over 25 countries.
The theme of this year’s Leadercast was Beyond You. “Leadership isn’t just about you as leader, it’s about what happens Beyond You. It’s about what happens when you decide to become a different type of leader – a leader who leverages their influence for the sake of others. Leadership is what happens when you look beyond yourself and into the lives of those you lead. When your leadership goes Beyond You.”
The speakers included Andy Stanley, Dr. Henry Cloud, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Laura Schroll, Laura Bush, Malcolm Gladwell, Randall Wallace, Bill McDermott and Simon Sinek.
Also participating in the 2014 Chick-fil-A Leadercast were Mentone Elementary School Principal Angie Miller, Akron Elementary School Principal Chrissy Mills, Tippecanoe Valley Middle School Principal Blaine Conley, Tippecanoe Valley Middle School Assistant Principal Scott Backus, Tippecanoe Valley Director of Technology Keith Lang and Tippecanoe Valley Superintendent Brett Boggs.
