Local Business Donating Sales To Salvation Army
Thornburgh Honey Farms is donating 20% of sales to The Salvation Army’s new initiative: Pathway of Hope.
“We are grateful to businesses like Thornburg Honey Farms. We cannot move forward with programs like Pathway of Hope without the community’s involvement,” said Lt. Esteban Pommier, Corps officer. “People in our community want to move forward, they want to get back into the workforce; they want to accomplish goals and plan better for the future but they need stronger support systems. This is where we come in.”
Ken Locke, Community Ministries director added, “Pathway of Hope is not necessarily about case management, it is about life-coaching. We are in the business of building relationships and through those formed relationships we are helping clients take steps towards sufficiency.”
Thornburgh Honey Farms, a family-operated business located in Kosciusko County, specializes in making pure hand-poured honey products such as lip and hand balms and soaps. “When we were looking for an organization to partner with for the year, Salvation Army of Kosciusko County was a simple choice for us.
Their mission of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and their focus to help people through the love of Jesus comes out strongly in their drive of “Doing The Most Good” said Ben and Carrie Thornburgh, Owners of Thornburgh Honey Farms.
