Chamber Of Commerce Week In Indiana
May 5-9 is the inaugural Chamber of Commerce Week in Indiana. The Warsaw Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce will be highlighting each day of the week how your award winning chamber impacts and contributes to our community.
Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallmer will present a Mayoral Proclamation to the WKChamber at the Warsaw Common Council meeting on Monday, May 5. Each day this week will focus on one of the five chamber initiatives: networking, advocacy, economic development, member benefits and business counseling.
Monday, May 5, is ‘Networking.’ Networking opportunities are provided to chamber members through various events, meetings and community initiatives. Kicking off the week is a special lunch for area chambers in Kosciusko County. The WKChamber is committed to collaborating with chambers located in Kosciusko County and surrounding area as well as networking to connect all businesses with opportunities.
Tuesday, May 6, is ‘Advocacy.’ The WKChamber is your voice in local, state and federal government. We advocate for Kosciusko businesses and promote economic growth for the region. One objective is to bring awareness to the community to shop and support the local businesses.
Wednesday, May 7, is ‘Economic Development.’ The WKChamber will focus on economic development in the area of tourism and business development through the Kosciusko County Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Warsaw Community Development Corporation.
Thursday, May 8, is ‘Member Benefits.’ Among the many benefits of investing in the WKChamber are website tools, committees, workshops, member visits, Business After Hours events, advertising opportunities and special member discounts. Look for additional member visits and a networking opportunity at Goodwill this day.
Friday, May 9, is ‘Business Counseling.’ The WKChamber works with the Small Business Development Corporation, SCORE and Elevate Indiana to assist Kosciusko businesses with education to grow a successful business. Groups like Small Business Connections provide businesses with support and encouragement.
The Young Entrepreneurs Academy is teaching students in high school to become entrepreneurs, keeping our youth interested in building the community. On Friday, May 9, the WKChamber has teamed up with WorkOne to bring the first Kosciusko Career Expo & Job Fair for junior and senior high school students. Opportunities like this allow the WKChamber to assist local businesses by connecting them with the future workforce.
The Warsaw Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce values our community and continues to invest in Kosciusko County through these initiatives, programs and events. Stay connected by following us on Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter. Visit the www.wkchamber.com to learn more.
