Right To Work For Less
Dear Editor,
I’ve been amused by all of the comments and letters concerning the District 22 Republican State Representative Race. It appears the incumbent would rather speak about personal issues rather than real issues facing Hoosiers. She calls Nisly’s campaign “despicable” and boasts of being an NRA member. Come on, get real.
The incumbent proudly proclaims she helped pass Right to Work legislation. The legislation is nothing more than an attack on organized labor and the working people of Indiana. I always wanted to ask the incumbent how many new, high-paying jobs Right to Work has created? Somehow, I knew the answer wouldn’t be available.
Here is a recently factual published report on how the working class in Indiana are doing: Inflation is greater than 1.3% while real income is less than .8%. So you see, the working class in Indiana are losing in real income thanks to Right to Work. The legislation should have been titled “Right to Work for Less.”
So you see, all of this personal stuff the incumbent writes about is a cover-up of the real issues that Hoosiers care about.
In the fall, I’ll be voting for David Kolbe.
