Elizabeth R. Plew
Elizabeth R. Plew, 87, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, in Mason Health Care and Rehabilitation, Warsaw.
She was born Dec. 30, 1927, in Warsaw to Herbert B. and Ruth Madaline (Bollinger) Robinson. She was a lifetime resident of Warsaw and graduated from Warsaw High School where she was a member of G.A.A. and played saxophone in the Warsaw High School Band.
She was united in marriage to George Plew on June 14, 1958, in Warsaw. She was a graduate from the Ball Memorial Hospital School of Nursing where she received her degree as a Registered Nurse. During her nursing career she served the Warsaw Community Schools as Public School Nurse and served in the offices of Dr. Dormeir and Dr. Bibler. In addition to nursing, she taught physical education at Warsaw Community High School for 11 years. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband: George Plew, Warsaw; and sisters: Eleanor Gill, San Jose, Calif.; and Ruth Shenefield, Warsaw.
She was preceded in death by sisters: Marguerite Gilliam and Herberta Munson; and a: brother: Cameron Robinson.
Visitation hours are from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, April 21, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A private interment service will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Pastor Scott Carmer will officiate the service.
