Questions, Questions, Questions About Kubacki
Dear Editor,
QUESTIONS, QUESTIONS, QUESTIONS …
After several months, it is puzzling to me the number of questions that remain unanswered on behalf of Representative Rebecca Kubacki.
I have been following her public voting record during the last General Assembly in Indianapolis. I have lingering questions; perhaps others in District 22 share these same questions.
Ms. Kubacki …
1) Why, in a Town Hall Meeting, did you state that you did not know the second sentence was in the marriage bill when you voted in favor of it in 2011? It was in the original draft of the bill and there was no conference committee.
2) Why did you think it was your duty to stop Hoosiers from voting on a marriage amendment when 29 other states have similar constitutional amendments?
3) Why do you think law-abiding Hoosiers should be required to go to the doctor every time they get a cold, paying for the abuse and misuse of pseudoephedrine (Meth Bill)?
4) Why do you feel it is your place to regulate churches outreach ministries and daycare programs when they are already highly regulated under health and safety codes?
5) Who do you listen to when your constituents tell you they don’t want Common Core Standards used for the education of their children? Please clarify who are the experts and professionals you choose to listen to instead of parents?
6) Why did you author a bill that made it more difficult for veterans to obtain tuition assistance than illegal immigrants?
7) Why did you tell your constituents in another Town Hall Meeting, it was not your job to amend the Indiana Constitution, then three days later you voted to amend the Indiana Constitution for hunters?
These are just some of the questions without answers. As a citizen and constituent of District 22, I would be most interested in your responses to these questions. If you think that these questions are not necessary to answer, then how do you claim to represent the conservative values of the citizens of District 22?
Respectfully submitted,
Terry P. Wood
