Bernard L. Zolman
Bernard L. Zolman, 85, of Mentone, Ind., passed away at 7:20 p.m., Sunday, April 13, 2014, at his residence
He was born on Aug 30, 1928, in Kosciusko County, Ind., to John and Zella (Parker) Zolman. He attended Burket High School. On Aug 21, 1976, in Claypool, Ind., he was married to Phyllis J. Roberts Mosier –she survives.
He was an independent truck driver. He worked at South Whitley Trucking, Black Oxide of Burket, Ind., and TTP Diesel of Warsaw, Ind. He served in the National Guard and was in the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed basketball, especially Tippecanoe Valley and Indiana University, and bus trips with S&S Travel.
He is survived by his wife; daughters: Jolyn (Willy) Likens, Warsaw; Melinda (Dan) Cochran, Fort Myers, Fla.; sons: Rob (Kathy) Zolman, Fort Myers; Kevin (Geora) Zolman, Chattanooga, Tenn.; stepdaughters: Susan (Donald) Minch, Portland, Ind.; Connie (Jerry) Black, Warsaw; Tamra (Steven) Norton, Mentone; stepson: Gary (Joyce) Mosier, Disko, Ind.; five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; twin sisters: Eileen Phebus and Nadeen Cumberland, Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and a grandson.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the funeral home. Reverend Amber Karkosky-Litten will officiate. Burial will be in Mentone Cemetery Mentone.
