Cardinal Services Awarded Highest Accreditation
Cardinal Services CEO Jane Wear has announced that Cardinal programs have received the highest accreditation possible from CARF International, the Center for Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities.
CARF reviews the programs of agencies serving people with disabilities and makes recommendations for improvements. If accreditation is awarded, it is for a 1, 2 or 3-year period, depending on the strength of the agency. Cardinal has once again been awarded 3-year accreditation.
In February, Cardinal underwent a rigorous 3-day review of programs by CARF surveyors. The resulting report cited the strength of Cardinal’s programs, employees, management team and Board of Directors, while calling special attention to the overall commitment to the people served through a culture of care.
The surveyors found Cardinal Services to be a “well-positioned, well-respected organization with highly committed and tenured staff members providing exceptional services in their community.”
CARF cited over two full pages of Cardinal’s strengths, including:
- A well trained, experienced staff that is committed, passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic
- Respect for each person served throughout the agency
- Visionary leadership
- Services that provide opportunities for people to learn, grow and improve their skills
The reviewers found no faults and made no recommendations, citing Cardinal’s commitment to meet and exceed industry standards.
