Ivy Tech Culinary Fundraiser Dinner
SOUTH BEND — Students in Ivy Tech Community College’s Bakery Merchandising class in South Bend created a prize winning cake for the St. Joseph County Public Library’s Edible Books Festival on Saturday, April 5. Based on Mary Shelley’s classic novel, Frankenstein, the cake featured a large sculpture of Frankenstein along with other elements from the story.
Ivy Tech’s Bakery Merchandising students will be among the 184 Hospitality Administration students preparing and implementing this year’s Culinary Arts fundraising dinner on Friday, April 25.
This annual event funds scholarships that allow students to further their education through experiential learning. This year’s theme is, Buongiorno! An evening in Italy. The event will be held at the Century Center and adjoining former College Football Hall of Fame on St. Joseph Street in South Bend.
Individual seats are $125 and tables for 8 are $1,000. You can reserve your seat or table online, by contacting Gena Wilimitis at [email protected] or by calling 765-438−8533. Seating is limited. Guests are encouraged to RSVP by Friday, April 18.
Those unable to attend the dinner can still support Ivy Tech’s culinary students with gifts in any amount.
