Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accident:
Monday, April 7, 3:36 p.m. East SR 14, Warsaw. Driver: Michael L. Stover, 31, East SR 14, North Manchester. Stover was eastbound on SR 14 when he lost control of his vehicle causing him to go off the roadway and roll over in a ditch. He complained of pain to his chest and shoulder and was transported by medics to Parkview Whitley Hospital. Damages: up to $10,000
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Tuesday, April 8, 12:20 a.m. West Winona Avenue and South Buffalo Street. Drivers: Cheri D. Engel, 50, Fisher Avenue, Warsaw; and Bryce M. Owens, 20, Meadow Lane, Warsaw. Engel was traveling southbound on South Buffalo approaching the West Winona Avenue intersection when she thought she had the green light and proceeded through the intersection, Owens also believed he had the green light and proceeded through the intersection. The two collided causing severed damages to the entire left side of Engel’s vehicle. Engel was transported by EMS to Kosciusko Community Hospital on complaints of paint to her head and left hip, Owens refused medical treatment. Damages: up to $5,000
Monday, April 7, 1:54 p.m. North Detroit Street and East Fort Wayne Street. Drivers: Donna Swihart, 73, West 850 South, Claypool; and Monica Braman, 63, East 250 North, Warsaw. Swihart was southbound on North Detroit Street in the left lane when she came to a stop to make a left turn onto Fort Wayne Street. As Swihart attempted to turn, Braman preceded through the intersection in the northbound lane causing the two to collide. Both complained of minor pains. Swihart was trasported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for evaluation and treatment, Braman stated she would seek medical attention if necessary on her own. Damages: up to $5,000
Monday, April 7, 1:18 p.m. Lake City Highway and North 150 West. Drivers: Robert N. Vance, 56, State Route 39, Mansfield, Ohio; and Danielle L. Biggs, 43, East 300 North, Warsaw. Both Vance and Biggs were traveling west on US 30 when the traffic light turned yellow. Biggs began to slow down however Vance, who was behind her, rear-ended her vehicle. Damages: up to $10,000
