Milford Placed Under Boil Order
The town of Milford has been placed under a boil order until further notice by Utilities Superintendent Randy Veach.
According to Veach, the town is experiencing a water main break and pressure has been lowered. Residents are requested to please boil water before drinking.
Milford School, according to principal Cindy Kaiser, has a plan to make sure that the students have clean drinking water Friday at school. “We are in the process of purchasing water bottles and jugs/cups to put in the classrooms and hallways,” she said.
Additionally, the school will be covering all of the drinking fountains so they cannot be used. “Our cafe staff will also have clean water to use. It is safe to wash our hands and we will have hand sanitizer available,” added Kaiser.
Students may also bring a bottled water with them to school Friday, but the school will have plenty at school, too. If needed, the school will continue with this plan on Monday, March 17.
