KREMC Reporting Power Outages
Heavy snow and extremely high winds rolling through Kosciusko County have caused power outages for roughly 1,700 Kosciusko REMC members. Impacted members include those served by the Maple Leaf substation in the northern part of the county.
Crews are currently working to restore the substation and are also responding to two broken poles on north SR 19. A majority of the county is experiencing power blinks due to tree limbs coming in contact with lines.
Efforts are currently underway to restore power to members. “We appreciate our members’ patience as we restore these outages,” said KREMC’s Engineering and Operations manager. “We’re doing our best to get power restored as quickly as possible to all members.”
KREMC reminds everyone to stay away from downed lines, and to contact the co-op immediately to report these issues. To report an outage or downed power lines call 574-267-6331 or 1-800-790-7362.
