Health Care Summer Coming To MU
Innovation is the theme for state and regional health care leaders who will speak at the 2014 Health Care Summit hosted by Manchester University on Friday, March 21.
The health care industry always has been on the leading edge of innovation. Today, amid a technological boom, surgical and pharmaceutical advances, and improvements in systems, processes and management, the practice of health care is changing more rapidly than ever.
To address some of those innovations, Manchester University is hosting the 2014 Health Care Summit on its Fort Wayne campus, 10627 Diebold Rd. The entire day of speeches and conversations is free, including breakfast and lunch. Register online by March 13.
Topics range from child health care in Allen County, informatics training and innovations to community health workers, innovations in health care, and academics and technology. Speakers include leaders in state of Indiana and Allen County health departments, Parkview and Lutheran health systems, and other innovators.
Keynote speakers are Dr. Michael Mirro, medical director for Parkview Research Center and professor of clinical medicine for Indiana University School of Medicine; and Kevin Sneed, senior associate vice president and Health Dean for the University of South Florida College of Pharmacy.
