As the weather finally begins to warm up, homeowners have a tendency to turn their attention to home improvement projects. Highlighting the local purveyors of home improvement products is the 15th Builders Association of Kosciusko Fulton Counties Home and Outdoor Show.
“We’ll have builders, mortgage and insurance providers, specialty concrete companies, landscape experts, lawn and garden tools, decking, windows, doors, cabinetry, everything you can think of for the home,” said Joni Truex, BAKFC Executive Officer, in a press release. “In addition, some of our vendors will have live demonstrations of their products, and of course, everyone will be happy to answer any questions that you have.”
There were 90 vendors on hand to assist show-goers. Some were highlighting new technologies and advancements in building materials. Others showed methods or products that help conserve energy and money.
Most importantly all of the vendors are from the local area. “You don’t need to go outside the county,” said Carol Ousley of Kosciusko REMC, the events sponsor.
Truex expected a pretty good turn out. The parking lot has been packed for most of the weekend thus far.
“Some people just want to get out for the day, while others have a specific project in mind. Others want to see the latest and greatest of what is out there or get ideas for something that they want to do down the road,” Truex said. “Either way, it’s a great place to gather, meet the local experts and do some research.”
For those that haven’t had a chance to stop by the event, it will be going on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is $5. For more information, visit www.bakfc.com.
