City Planners To Talk Chickens
A formal proposal to allow for chickens in the city limits will be presented to the Warsaw Plan Commission at a special time on Monday.
Chickens — specifically the keeping of hens for the purpose of egg production — have been the topic of board meetings over the last month. James Bausch first brought the idea of “urban hens” to the Warsaw Common Council (see related).
Goshen is among area communities also in the process of working toward adopting ordinances allowing for hens in the city limits.
Monday’s meeting will begin at 6:45 p.m. in the city hall meeting room at the corner of Center and Buffalo streets in downtown Warsaw. The meeting is open to the public and a formal proposal will be read.
