A light dusting of snow is falling across areas of the county today. Though the snow has left some questioning if yet another winter storm is on its way, according to the National Weather Service, less than 1 inch is expected to fall. The NWS reports that snowfall is expected to occur primarily before 3 p.m. today.
Do be careful when traveling today though. Roads are slick and police have been responding to a number of slide-offs and accidents caused by snow-covered roads.
Though most of the week’s forecasted temperatures will remain below freezing, however. NWS indicates that Friday will be a welcome reprieve with mostly sunny weather and a high of 40 degrees. Saturday will bring yet another chance of snowfall with the NWS noting a 40 percent chance of winter weather.
