Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Sunday, March 2, 3:39 p.m. East 450 North near North 100 East, Warsaw. Driver: Sidney R. Troyer, 17, 300 East, Warsaw. Troyer lost control of her vehicle, exited the roadway and the vehicle overturned. No injuries reported. Damages: up to $2,500
Sunday, March 2, 9:33 a.m. SR 15 near West 950 South, Warsaw. Driver: Kevin R. Dunithan, 47, Columbia Street, Warsaw. Dunithan slid on snow covered road, left the roadway and rolled the vehicle. No serious injuries reported. Damages: up to $2,500
Sunday, March 2, 4:04 a.m. U.S. 30 near Van Ness Road, Pierceton. Driver: Maria E. Ortiz Fuentes, 20, Sylvia Street, Fort Wayne. Driver slid off snow covered road into a ditch. Damages: up to $5,000
Saturday, March 1, 9:56 p.m. SR 14 near South 500 West, Silver Lake. Driver: Jerry A. Benson, 68, 450 West, Silver Lake. Benson struck a downed telephone pole that was in the roadway from a previous accident. Damages: up to $5,000
Saturday, March 1, 9:49 p.m. South 275 East near East 400 South, Warsaw. Driver: Travis J. Bender, 24, Clear Creek Trail, North Manchester. Bender slid on ice, through an intersection, and struck a county highway street sign. Damages: up to $2,500
Saturday, March 1, 9:23 p.m. Ferguson Road near SR 25, Warsaw. Driver: Glenn A. Burkett, 47, Kingfisher Driver, Mentone. Burkett slid on icy roadway and struck a utility pole. Damages: up to $5,000
Saturday, March 1, 5:13 p.m. West 1250 South near South 750 West, Akron. Driver: Alejandro Rosas, 32, Maple Street, Akron. Rosas’ vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons and rolled. No serious injuries reported. Damages: up to $10,000
Saturday, March 1, 11:43 a.m. SR 13 near East 200 North, Pierceton. Driver: Siobhan A. Mahnken, 18, East Shore Drive, Syracuse. Driver struck deer. Damages: up to $2,500
Friday, Feb. 28, 8:56 p.m. SR 14 near South 600 West, Silver Lake. A vehicle registered to Paul Cole of Claypool was driven off the roadway and collided with a utility pole. Cole was the passenger. He was not wearing a safety belt and his head struck the windshield. He was treated by LifeMed and flown to Fort Wayne by Lutheran Air for pain in his back, neck, hands and face. The driver of the vehicle is still at large. Alcohol was determined to be a factor in the incident. Damages: up to $10,000
Milford Police Department
Officers of the Milford Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Friday Feb. 28, 3:56 p.m. SR 15 near Waubee Road, Milford. Drivers: Christopher B. Perry, 40, Wild Rose Road, New Paris; Amy E. Roberts, 28, Jay Street, Ligonier. Perry rear-ended Roberts. Damages: up to $2,500
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Monday March 3, 4:12 a.m. Winona Ave. near Austin Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Luis De La Cruz Gomez, 26, Wooster Road, Winona Lake; and Ronald D. King, 52, Liberty Mills. Gomez slid after braking and clipped the rear of the tractor trailer driven by King. Damages: up to $10,000

Officers of the Winona Lake Police Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Saturday, March 1, 8:54 p.m. U.S. 30 near South 325 East, Warsaw. Driver: Somasekhar Patnala, 34, Orchard Drive, Warsaw. Patnala lost control of his vehicle, slid off the road and struck a sign. Damages: up to $5,000
