Lancer Duo Saluted By Conference
WINONA LAKE – Greg Miller and Logan Irwin highlighted the Grace College men’s basketball team’s postseason awards collection from the Crossroads League.
Miller was named to the CL’s Second Team, and Irwin was honorable mention All-CL. Miller also earned All-Defensive Team distinction, while Irwin was selected to the All-Newcomer Team.
The Lancers earned the No. 6 seed in the Crossroads League and will travel to third-seeded Huntington on Wednesday night in the opening round of the CL Tournament.
Senior Miller, a native of Akron, posted averages of 18.2 points and 9.6 rebounds per game to lead the Lancers. He led the CL in rebounding and was No. 9 in NAIA Division II through the regular season. His total of 12 double-doubles was tied for the most in the league and eighth in the nation.
Irwin, playing his first season after transferring in from NCAA Div. I Stetson, appeared on the All-Newcomer Team with 13.4 points and 4.4 assists per game. The sophomore point guard, a former standout at Whitko High School, posted a strong 2.0 assists-to-turnover ratio for Grace.
