Allow yourself some extra travel time this evening if you have to venture out. The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory and a Wind Advisory for a widespread area of Indiana.
Warm, moist air moving over the snow-covered ground is resulting in the fog. Dense fog should lift early Friday morning, but watch for a cold front to surge later this evening. That will also bring strong southwest winds in excess of 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph. Additional strong winds are expected to redevelop Friday morning and continue through the afternoon.
The Wind Advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Friday. The Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. tonight.
