Gene M. Farling
Gene M. Farling, 83, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 9:59 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born on Nov. 21, 1930, to Frank and Ruth (Anguish) Farling in Muncie, Ind. He served in the US Air force in the 580TH REPRO Squadron, a Communication Group. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Haynes on Nov. 7, 1956, in Warsaw.
He worked in management for Zimmer Inc. as a biomedical engineer. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. He was a member of the American Legion Post 49, Warsaw. He was very proud of having a private pilot’s license. Gene started flying when he was just 15 years old. He also liked motorcycles and he enjoy being at Chapman Lake.
Gene is survived by his wife: Marilyn Farling, Warsaw; two sons: Toby (Lana) Farling and Terry (Toni) Farling, Warsaw; three grandchildren: Courtney, Chelsey and Clay Farling.
He is preceded by his parents and one brother.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 18, at the funeral home with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military Honors.
